WHO: Twenty-eight students with special needs, each with an accompanying “buddy.”
WHAT: “Hand in Hand: A Night on the Runway” fashion-show benefit spotlighting students from Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland. The models of middle-school age through young adult and their “buddies” from TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas will take to the runway and show off the latest styles from Macy’s Department Store.
WHEN: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015.
WHERE: Morgan’s Wonderland Event Center, 5223 David Edwards Drive in Northeast San Antonio near the Wurzbach Parkway-Thousand Oaks intersection (a half-mile west of IH 35).
WHY: To raise funds for non-profit Monarch Academy, a school for students with special needs that develops individualized educational plans to help each student reach his or her maximum potential. The school is located next to Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first ultra-accessible theme park designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment.
ETC.: This is the fourth year TMI has partnered with Monarch Academy in providing fashion-model “buddies” to accompany Monarch Academy students on the runway.
