The Academy at Morgan's Wonderland welcomes students with mild to moderate cognative disabilities who are entering 6th grade or 12 years old (whichever comes first) through age 18, and who possess the skills and willingness to participate in the kind of unique educational program we offer. Once a student is enrolled, however, he or she may stay with us in our transition program until the age of 24.

The integration of traditional academics, life skills, work readiness, and vocational training are offered in an environment that both encourages and challenges each individual to reach his or her personal best. Admission to The Academy is not determined by diagnosis; rather it is based upon the student’s willingness to learn, ability to work towards employment and/or service to the community, and ability to function in a classroom setting.

At this time we are not able to accept students who display physical or verbal aggression, students with significant hearing and/or vision impairments, students who are not toilet trained, students with health issues necessitating medical/nursing care during the school day, or students who require extensive 1/1 assistance. We are able to assist with toileting needs for students with limited strength and /or mobility, but we are not able to assist students who need to be lifted in order to stand or transition while toileting.
