The Parent Teacher and Friend Organization (PTFO) at The Academy exists to:

• Support the school staff in a variety of ways
• Help promote student self-esteem
• Assist with efforts to solve school needs through volunteerism and fundraising

Every parent and teacher is automatically a member of the PTFO, and no dues are required; however, the success of each student and the school as a whole is dependent on parent involvement. Every parent is invited and encouraged to participate in a wide variety of opportunities to serve. The following is a list of projects undertaken by the PTFO:

  • Lunchroom volunteers
  • Field trip volunteers / chaperones
  • Sponsors of 2 student dances per year
  • Sponsors of back-to-school luncheon and other social events throughout the year
  • Participants as hosts for school open house
  • Participants as marketing assistants are area resource fairs where The Academy at Morgan's Wonderland is promoted
  • Volunteers for fundraising events and projects
  • Substitutes for school secretary when needed
  • Record-keeper for parent volunteer hours
  • Library volunteers
  • Sponsors of teacher appreciation activities
  • Yearbook editors
